Federal government subsidies

The federal government offers the Incentives for Zero-Emission Vehicles (iZEV) Program. Introduced in May 2019, this program will run until March 31, 2025, or until funds are fully exhausted.

The federal subsidy can be claimed when purchasing or leasing an eligible electric vehicle, and the rebates can total up to $5,000 and up to $200,000 for businesses willing to acquire medium or heavy vehicles.
